ABOUT
Premiered by the Hessian State Ballet, Existence was scored for a 50 piece live orchestra and choreographed by Marc Brew with a company of 12 dancers.
Taking inspiration from the elements, the work is structured in 3 parts: Sun, Water and Wind, exploring the opposing faces of these elements - as force for positive global change, whilst also having the power to destroy.
Visually supported by costume, set and video design by Emma Kingsbury.
The music was originally written and recorded with a small ensemble of piano, synths and strings, before being re-orchestrated and reimagined for live orchestra and performed in the ornate neo-baroque main house of the Hessian State Theatre in Wiesbaden, Germany.
