Kite at Soho Theatre

Throughout January I've been working alongside Isobel Waller-Bridge on the score for Kite, a captivating new mime and movement show developed by The Wrong Crowd theatre company.

A dialogue-free show, Kite was inspired by classic children's stories like The Snowman and The Red Balloon, and tells the story of a young girl who moves to the city to live with her grandmother, in the wake of her mother's death. Discovering an old Kite, she is taken on a daring adventure across the city, leading to a perilous climax on the roof of St Paul's. In a show with music and sound at its core, it was a particular pleasure to record the score with a handful of brilliant musicians at Strongroom Studios in East London.

Kite premiered at the Soho Theatre and will tour the UK until the late spring.
